Our Charity

Both Writeboards and our Charity partner, The Salvation Army, are intensely concerned for the welfare and well
being of Australia's youth.

Every year thousands of Australian children are the victims of abuse and neglect, and the impact of this trauma
can have devasting effects on their future prospects and potential.

The Salvation Army has extensive programs across the nation working with young people from these type of backgrounds, and is passionate about intervening as early as possible to reduce the impact of these tragic experiences.

With the support of funds donated from the sale of Writeboards our vision is to purchase a property and set up a safe place where children can go and heal from their abuse and neglect, before they become an adult. The Salvation Army Youth Foundation is planning to launch an innovative therapeutic program, where young people who have been scarred and impacted by abuse and other traumatic experiences will have the support and professional care to recover and gain understanding and skills that will enable them to build a positive future.

We find these figures to be astronomical. The frightening part is that these only relate to cases that have been reported to authorities and substantiated. We wonder how many cases have been reported and not substantiated and how many have not even been reported.

We are very excited to be raising money to help children heal!
