Australia's Shame

Australians buy offshore to Destroy our environment

What is Australia's Shame?

Writeboards have been in business for over thirteen years now and never had a Writeboard returned, in fact we are still waiting for them to wear out. Our Writeboard continues to outlast every other inferior product on the market!

Over the years we have seen the invention of new dry-erase boards, new whiteboards, new films of all kinds, new notable brand name writing boards, new dry-erase pockets, and the list goes on...

Where are all these inferior products now?

I will let you in on a secret that no one wants you to know about...They are all clogging up Australia's Landfill.
  • They are not recyclable.
  • They are all imported from other countries.
  • Australians educational suppliers continue to import these inferior products on a daily basis.
  • Australian educational institutions continue to buy these products on a daily basis.
  • Parents also buy these inferior products as that is what their school is using (it is definitely not the parents fault).

Why are all these products in Australia's Landfill?

  • They stain and leave shadow marks.
  • After a while the marks do not come off.
  • A child writes on one of these inferior products with the wrong marker & it ruined and cannot be used again.
  • They need toxic chemicals to be cleaned and after a while chemicals do not even remove the marks.
  • They break and become dangerous for a child to use and the list goes on...

Why do Australians Educational Suppliers continue to import these products?

I have given this considerable thought over the past ten years and it is all about making money. Here are some logical reasons that businesses purchase these products:

  • Why on earth would they buy a product that would last? That is not good for business, that is not good for turnover.
  • As a business you need to import a product that your customers need to replace from day one of use up to the longest being six months.
  • This means more sales for them. Who gives a xxxx about the environment as long as they make money.
Why do schools and educational institutions continue to buy these products?

I have struggled with the answer to this question as they are supposed to care about the environment, however, that is only happening on the surface where everyone can see the improvements.

I have spoken to many teachers over the last ten years that now use our Writeboard. They have confided in me and told me that the following are used and thrown out on a daily basis and no one cares about the waste. It is the same list:

  • Laminates.
  • Dry-erase boards.
  • Whiteboards.
  • Plastic sleeves.
  • Chemical cleaners etc.
This is happening day after day, month after month, and year after year and no one one knows about it...They are cheap and nasty products and not one of them is Australian made, not one of them is recyclable, and not one of them is eco-friendly.
WHO CARES? DO YOU CARE?

Please help us spread the word and tell others about our recyclable eco-friendly Australian made and owned Writeboard.
